and
Bronwyn Watts is the Executive Director and Founder of ColdSpring Nurse Mares, bringing over 30 years of experience in the horse industry. Raised on a working horse farm in rural southwest Virginia, she was immersed in equine care and management from birth. An active participant in 4-H and Pony Club, she developed a deep understanding of horsemanship, training, and the responsibilities of equine welfare.
Since 2004, Bronwyn has been a professional groom in the elite world of 3-Day Eventing, working alongside top equestrians and Olympians. She has groomed at every major 3-Day Event in North America, including the prestigious Rolex/Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event—seven times. Her reputation for excellence in horse care and competition management has made her a sought-after expert in the field.
Driven by a passion for equine welfare, Bronwyn founded ColdSpring Mares from the ground up, building a nonprofit dedicated to ethically providing nurse mares to orphaned foals. Through her leadership, the organization has grown into a pillar of support for equine ethics and education, ensuring that vulnerable foals receive the care, nutrition, and second chances they deserve.
