May May is a 2003 Irish Sport Horse who joined ColdSpring in 2019, making her one of our beloved OG girls. Since then, she has raised nine foals, earning her place as one of our most reliable and sought-after nursemares.

A large milker with an abundance of love to give, May May is the kind of mare who can raise multiple foals in a season without missing a beat. She will mother anything she can get to—dogs, humans, foals… nobody is safe from her affection. One of her most endearing quirks is her habit of burying her muzzle deep into your hair, taking long, thoughtful breaths as if she is reading your soul. It’s impossible not to melt.

May May also loves to “help” during milking sessions—grooming us with her lips, talking the whole time, and even lifting her hind leg as if to make sure we get every last drop. She is a total love bug, expressive, communicative, and endlessly affectionate.
