Poppet is a 2007 Irish Draught mare who joined ColdSpring in 2025, and in her very first season as a nursemare, she absolutely nailed it. Despite her impressive size and presence, Poppet is one of the softest, most tender-hearted mares in our entire herd.

Before coming to us, Poppet had seven foals of her own, giving her the kind of experience, intuition, and confidence that made her transition into orphan-raising look effortless. With her first ColdSpring baby, she stepped instantly into the role—calm, patient, and deeply nurturing.
