They’ve done their work. Now it’s our turn to care for them.

Retirement Paddock

Rest Well, Old Friend

Our retirement paddock is home to the mares who have given their entire lives to supporting our industry and the families they served. These mares are with us for the rest of their days, and we consider it our responsibility—and our honor—to ensure their final chapter is written with dignity, comfort, and uncompromising care.

Many of our retired mares require additional support beyond the needs of our active nurse mares. As they age, they often need specialized feed, supplements, farrier care, dentistry, and individualized health management for chronic or age-related conditions. Their care is more intensive, but it is care they have undeniably earned.

Some of our mares may be eligible for adoption through an off-farm lease, allowing them to enjoy a quiet second home while remaining under our lifetime protection. Not all mares can be adopted due to their medical needs or donor preferences, so please contact us directly if you are interested in learning more.

We rely heavily on community support to provide the level of care these mares deserve. Every contribution—large or small—helps us honor their years of service with a retirement marked by safety, stability, and love. Our commitment is to them, and we are proud to give each mare the very best life possible in her golden years.
